Columbian Exposition / Chicago World’s Fair, FINE Marked USA in the bottom right hand corner, above this mark is Schwab and Wolf N. The middle of the picture is the word COLUMBIA, and the left bottom is: Copyright 1908. Listed in “Threads of History 25.5 x 25.5” framed. An oval view of Lady Liberty or Betsy Ross? On a flag/crest background. A nice mix of red, blue, brown, and green colors. The colors are very vibrant and jump off right out at you. Scattered light toning spots, but no holes or flaws. First we’ve seen of its type.
The art deco frame is hand carved in wood which I believe is Mahogany lightened Cherry Wood. The detail is outstanding. The frame is a work of art itself, very pretty and compliments the artwork exquisitely.
